PÚBLICO · open beta
Privacy
Effective 5 October 2026
- No sign-up. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- The game never asks for or uses your real location. Rides are recorded on the game’s own map, not GPS.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking. We don’t sell or share your data.
- Delete everything from inside the game: Settings → World → Delete account.
Who we are
PÚBLICO is an independent game. In this policy “we” means its developer. You can reach us by email (see Contact at the end) or through TestFlight’s Share Beta Feedback.
Your account
The first time you open the game online, our server creates an anonymous player account: a random player ID and a random secret. The secret is kept in your iPhone or iPad’s Keychain (Apple can sync it to your other devices through iCloud Keychain). We store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it. We don’t collect your name, email, phone number, contacts or any device advertising ID.
Your leaderboard name is generated (for example “Chofer 1234”). If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the game links it automatically: we receive your Game Center player ID for our games and your Game Center nickname, and your nickname becomes your leaderboard name. If you aren’t signed in, nothing is linked.
What the game stores on our server
- Cloud save: your progress (money, level, cars, stamps, streets driven, goals) and your in-game settings, including language and accessibility options. Up to 64 KB.
- Rides: for each ride, when it started and ended, the car, the rider type, the pickup and drop-off places in the game, distance, time, stars, crashes and the fare.
- Driving trace: the position of your car on the game’s map twice a second, with its speed and whether you braked, crashed or hit a kerb. These are game-map coordinates, not GPS; they say nothing about where you are in real life. We use them to check that a ride is genuine before it counts on a leaderboard.
- Leaderboard scores: weekly fare earnings and similar game scores.
- Account activity: when the account was created and when it last connected.
- Fair-play flags: if the server sees rides that are impossible in the game, it can flag the account so its scores don’t show to others. Automatic flags expire after 30 days.
- Challenge ghosts: the server can store a replay of your best daily challenge run so other players can race it. The current beta does not upload any.
The game also sends its version number with each request. It does not send your device model, contacts, photos, microphone or location.
What other players can see
Leaderboards show a player’s name, a random player ID, score and number of rides. Other players see you on the public boards only if your account is linked to Game Center; you always see yourself.
Where it’s stored
- Cloudflare runs our game server (Cloudflare Workers) and file storage (R2).
- Supabase hosts our database, in the United States (AWS us-east-1).
- Apple provides TestFlight, Game Center and the Keychain.
Like any website or app, every request reaches Cloudflare with your IP address. Our code uses the IP address only for a moment to limit how often accounts can be created, and never saves it. Cloudflare keeps its own request logs under its own policies.
No ads, no tracking
There are no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no tracking in the game. We don’t sell, rent or share your data with anyone for advertising or any other purpose. This website has no cookies and loads nothing from other servers; it remembers your language choice in your own browser and nowhere else.
How long we keep it
- Driving traces are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Your account, cloud save, ride records (without the trace) and scores are kept until you delete your account.
Deleting your data
In the game: Settings → World → Delete account (you need to be online).
- Delete account removes your account from our server: your profile, name, cloud save, rides, traces, scores, any fair-play flag and any Game Center link. Your progress on this device stays.
- Delete everything does the same and also resets your progress on this device.
Copies in our providers’ backups and logs expire on their own schedules. If you play online again later, the game starts a new anonymous account. You can also ask us to delete your data by email.
TestFlight
The beta is distributed through Apple’s TestFlight, which Apple runs under its own terms and privacy policy. When you use TestFlight, Apple shares with us crash reports and any feedback and screenshots you choose to send, along with basic details such as your device model and iOS version.
Children
PÚBLICO is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has used the game, write to us and we’ll delete the account.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also say so in the TestFlight release notes.

PÚBLICO · beta abierta
Privacidad
